Central Bank of Sri Lanka Calls for Applications: Banking Assistants (Trainees) Recruitment 2025

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has announced a valuable opportunity for ambitious and dynamic young individuals to join its team as Banking Assistants (Trainees). This nationwide recruitment drive targets citizens of Sri Lanka who meet the specified educational and age requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Passed G.C.E. O/L in one sitting with at least six subjects, including a minimum of five “B” passes (compulsory: Mathematics & Sinhala/Tamil), and at least a “C” pass in English.
- Passed G.C.E. A/L in one sitting with at least three “B” passes in main subjects (excluding General English).
- Age between 18 and 22 years as of May 23, 2025 (i.e., born between May 24, 2003, and May 23, 2007).
Selection Procedure
Candidates will undergo a competitive examination conducted by the Department of Examinations. The exam includes three one-hour papers:
- General Intelligence (100 Marks)
- Numerical Skills (100 Marks)
- Comprehension (100 Marks)
Examinations will be held in Sinhala, Tamil, and English mediums. Language preference must be selected during the online application process and cannot be changed later.

Applications must be submitted online through the Department of Examinations’ official website (www.doenets.lk) from April 23, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to May 23, 2025, 9:00 p.m.
Examination Fee
- Rs. 600/-, payable via:
- Any bank debit card with internet transactions
- Online Banking (Bank of Ceylon)
- Any branch of the Bank of Ceylon
Admission and Examination
Admission cards will be issued online. Applicants must verify identity at the exam with a valid NIC, Passport, or Driving License, and no electronic devices will be allowed inside the hall.
Terms of Appointment
- The training period is two years, with a fixed allowance of Rs. 65,000 per month.
- Upon successful completion, candidates will be absorbed as Associate Management Assistants under MAC Grade I (1).
- They must be willing to serve anywhere in the country.

- Incomplete applications or failure to meet the eligibility will result in disqualification.
- Any form of canvassing will disqualify the applicant.
