Open University Calls for Applications for Librarian Position

Colombo, March 5, 2025 – The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has announced a vacancy for the post of Librarian and is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates. The deadline for submitting applications is March 21, 2025.

According to the official announcement, the salary scale for the position falls under U-AC 5 (II), with a range of Rs. 117,350 – 152,450 per month, along with additional allowances, including:

• Academic Allowance: 203% of the basic salary
• Additional Monthly Allowance: 20% of the basic salary
• Research Allowance: 35% (based on research activity)
• Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800 per month
