University Admission with Foreign Qualifications 2023/2024
The University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka has opened applications for the admission of students with foreign qualifications to undergraduate courses for the academic year 2023/2024. This initiative allows both foreign nationals and Sri Lankans who have studied abroad to pursue higher education in one of Sri Lanka’s recognized universities. Eligibility Criteria Students with foreign qualifications equivalent to Sri Lanka’s G.C.E. (Advanced Level) examination can apply. Candidates must provide proof of their qualifications, such as certification from the relevant Examination Board. Both Sri Lankan and foreign passport holders are eligible, but Sri Lankan candidates must have studied abroad for at least three years immediately before taking their qualifying exams. Additionally, the UGC has outlined specific documentation requirements, including proof of residence and study period abroad, as well as parental employment records if applicable.|
