The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has extended the application deadline for its BA (Hons) in English and English Language Teaching program for the 2024/2025 academic year. This four-year program is designed for individuals looking to enhance their expertise in English language education and is offered at Colombo, Kandy, Matara, Jaffna, and Batticaloa centers.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
✅ Possess the OUSL Diploma in English Language & Literature
✅ Hold a Diploma in Teaching English (ESL) of 2 years from a National College of Education (NCOE)
✅ Have a recognized 2-year Teacher Training Qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language, approved by OUSL
✅ Obtain passes in three (3) G.C.E. (A/L) subjects, including English Literature or an equivalent qualification

Additionally, all applicants except those with an OUSL Diploma must pass a selection test conducted by the Department of Language Studies.
