Welcome to the Ecosphere Resilience Research Centre (ERRC)
“Science Rooted in Nature. Solutions Driven by Research”
The Ecosphere Resilience Research Centre (ERRC) was established as an interdisciplinary research hub within the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. The primary aim of the centre is to advance scientific knowledge, innovation, and practical solutions for enhancing environmental resilience and sustainability.
ERRC brings together researchers and professionals from multiple disciplines to address critical challenges related to climate change, pollution, sustainable land use, natural resource management, and ecosystem health. Our focus areas include microplastic and hazardous material pollution, water and soil quality assessment, urban and rural ecosystem resilience, and sustainable development policy.
We support research and development through competitive grants, research assistantships, student mentorship programs, and collaborative projects. The centre collaborates with national and international universities, government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
We regularly organize scientific workshops and training sessions to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, build capacity, and promote community-based environmental stewardship.
Our members include scientists, academic staff, postgraduate researchers, and policy contributors from diverse backgrounds. With a growing network of local and global collaborators, ERRC is committed to shaping a more resilient and sustainable future through cutting-edge research and community engagement.
